YOUNG PEOPLE

Please follow this link to Uniformed Organisations.

St Leonard's seeks to engage with children and young people in a variety of different ways, both directly and indirectly, so that they too can know, grow and share in God's love. Some of these activities are Church-led, others are led by organizations with which we have a relationship or share facilities. All of them will welcome your enquiries.

Confirmation

The annual Confirmation service is in late spring or early summer and we usually join with one or more of our adjoining Parishes.

Confirmation classes start in the New Year and are weekly, continuing for approximately 10 weeks up to the Confirmation Service. For more details contact the Vicar.

(For adults, Confirmation classes are arranged with candidates, please contact the Vicar.)

Saturday Workshops

On the first Saturday of the month we hold Messy Church. These children's workshops take place between 10 am and 12 noon and seek to explore and develop their skills through Christian themes and stories including a variety of enjoyable activities, such as arts and crafts. The sessions currently attract some 30 to 40 children between the ages of 3 to 10.

The resulting art work and musical activities are often included in the Family Service on the following 2nd Sunday Service - see What's On.

Choir

St Leonard's has a small but good Choir which sings at the 10.00am services and on the first Sunday of the month at 6.00pm Evensong. Practices are held on Thursdays in church from 6.30pm to 7.45pm and new junior members are warmly welcome.

Toddler Group
